Harbor Marine Service opened in 2010 in answer to the need for specialty items not available locally to boaters who shopped at the usual large chain stores or big commercial marine businesses. The owner, Ray Burge, who has been boating continuously since the 70's, attended the Florida boat shows each year for many years. What he discovered was that there were a number of great products being presented at the shows that were not available to the general public. He also found out that it can take months, even years, for the big commercial marine stores to add these unique products to their inventories. There was simply too much red tape!

After rather unpleasant experience with independent mechanics in FL we did not have great hopes to find honest independent boat mechanic here. Not only Ray was available to take a lookat our disabled hydraulic steering he also arranged for towing and proper diagnostics and repair.
